Beksan Designs’ Featured at “Texture” in Santa Monica

This is our first combined jewelry and sweater Trunk Show 8/15 - 8/18 at “Texture” at 7^th and Montana Ave. in Santa Monica.  We are so excited about our new retail partner and convinced more than ever that life is all about relationship building!  We will explain why we think so….. In March of this year, Beksan Designs joined the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce.  Becoming a Chamber member has been  extremely rewarding and at one of the first meetings I (Nevra) met Suzanne who has a “Nothing Bundt Cakes” franchise at 9^th and Montana Avenue.  What a delightful person and what amazing cakes they make!! My favorites are the Red Velvet and Chocolate Chip bundt cakes. This initial Chamber meeting was about a week before Mother’s Day and Suzanne was thrilled to discover Beksan Designs as she needed to buy some special gifts.  I set up a “personal shopping” experience for her and she was thrilled with the handcrafted Turkish jewelry and silk scarves she bought.  She has become a real Beksan Designs’ fan and is friends with Jane, the owner of Texture, a “sweater store and more.” One day in June, Suzanne was in Texture and said to Jane, “You have to meet Nevra from Beksan Designs.  Her Turkish jewelry would be great in your store.”  When I got back from our design and buying trip in Istanbul this past June, I contacted Jane of Texture and we met. We hit it off fabulously, and she invited Beksan Designs to be part of this week’s August 15th-18th special Sweater and Jewelry Trunk Show. Texture is an amazing store with gorgeous sweaters and accessories.  They also have other beautiful clothing and the level of personalized service is outstanding.  When I was there, Jane picked out a fun burgundy colored jacket color for me which is both stylish and a complimentary color for my wardrobe. Moral of the story:  “Relationship building is a key to success for everyone.”  You never know who you will meet in different social situations and where life will take you.  Being open is key, and I treasure all my new relationships this year. During this 4 day Trunk Show at Texture, “Ball of Cotton”, a local hand loomed sweater company, is featured along with Beksan Designs.  Come see the latest earring, bracelet, and necklace designs from our 24k gold vermeil and brass collections along with Ball of Cotton's sumptuous sweaters.  This is an opportunity to see our latest designs as you create jewelry & clothing combinations.  And while you’re at Texture, you never know who you may meet.   :)
