2020 Spring’s Color Trends….What’s Best for YOU?
Pantone Color Institute summed up the Spring/Summer 2020 color trends as "friendly and relatable" in that they convey a sense of ease. Spring 2020's color palette “infuses heritage and tradition with a colorful youthful update that creates strong multi-colored combinations as well as energizing and optimistic pairings” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the institute.
Here is a key to the popular color palates as identified by Pantone. For each, we’ve suggested coordinating gemstones or accessories:
Flame Scarlet
“Bold, bright, warm and energetic, this fiery red hue exudes confidence and makes a statement.” A vibrant and self-confident red shade that you will find everywhere, from fashion to beauty (wouldn’t it be gorgeous, as a lipstick?) This carnelian stone necklace would be a lovely addition to any outfit!
Biscay Green
“This year, it's all about a cool and refreshing aqua shade. This is definitely one of the most unexpected yet dominant shades we saw on the runway.”
It is a mellow, comforting and soft a shade that elicits good feelings. Our green aventurine or chalcedony stones create a look inspired by nature.
Faded Denim
“This blue shade is as reliable and dependable as your go-to pair of jeans. The approachable hue conveys comfort and ease and looks chic when paired with bold and vibrant colors.”
Add this blue and small felt scarf to complement neutral colored tops and jackets or our beautiful turquoise and aquamarine stone jewelry to reflect this color.
Coral Pink
“Combining the warmth of coral with the delicacy of pink, this soothing, feminine hue is chic to wear both day and night—perfect for evening affairs when it comes in textured fabrics, such as silk, sequins, and tulle.”
Think rose quartz bracelet, necklace or earrings, a lovely way to incorporate this lovely color into your look.
When selecting jewelry, keep your skin tone in mind too. If you have a cool undertone, sapphires, blue aventurine, jade, and amethyst gemstones look best. For a warm undertone, consider rubies, red agate, rose quartz, or green aventurine. Our Antika collection has a wide variety of semi-precious stone jewelry to choose from.
