A New Year Style Tip: Have fun with the 2023 Pantone Colors

There is something refreshing about making a new start. It’s that time of year where we can “begin again.”  

What we’ve learned over the years is how much one’s attitude can impact our behavior.  The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for each day.  At the start of this New Year, we can ask ourselves, “Can I try to wear new colors & styles this year?”  

A customer recently came up to us and said, “I am so tired of wearing black all the time, but I don’t know how to bring color into my wardrobe.  How can I change in the New Year?”  

So, we shared with her the Pantone Color for 2023, “Viva Magenta” a red color that would bring a smile to any person’s face.  In addition, green tones, pink tones, and some gray blue tones are popular for 2023.

The good news was that our customer is open to trying new things.  We suggested she experiment with new clothing colors, jewelry, and accessories to complement her desired look.  She mentioned she wanted to integrate red and gray/blue tones into her wardrobe.

Of course, the jewelry pieces we suggested were red agate, labradorite and emerald or jade jewelry pieces.  Our jade single stone large ring caught her eye, and she paired it with our garnet bead long necklace.  

We thought a burgundy or blue sweater would be a good first staple to add.  Adding a gray tone scarf to a black or burgundy top is another easy way to add color.  We showed her our cotton grey and white scarf which she fell in love with and purchased.  Putting on a gemstone necklace, ring, earrings, or bracelet can also brighten one’s look.  

What was great is she left filled with ideas on how to create a new look for herself with the 2023 Pantone colors of the year.  We’re sharing this with you so you too can do the same.
