Half Moon Bay, a Sparkling Gem
Sometimes one doesn’t need to travel far to have a wonderful time. Recently Nevra flew up to the Bay Area for some special sister time with Meyla. The first stop was Half Moon Bay and in case you didn’t know, this area is a year-round hidden treasure. With its beautiful coastline, lovely downtown area with shopping and delicious restaurants, it’s fun and easy to get to.
First stop in downtown Half Moon Bay (HMB) was Mirada on Main Street Art Gallery where Beksan Designs’ jewelry & accessories were on display, the last day of a five-day pop-up in this beautiful gallery. Customers were drawn to our unique, handcrafted jewelry & accessories and gratefully the show was a success! To celebrate being together, we went to dinner afterwards at the Turkish restaurant, Ciya, on Main Street in HMB . It was delicious and we spoke Turkish with the owner too. Reminded us so much of our lovely meals together in Istanbul. We shared chicken shish kabob, lamb (Nevra’s favorite), vegetables, and Meyla’s favorite, spinach borek! Another popular restaurant that Meyla and her family really enjoy is Pasta Moon https://www.pastamoon.com/, a wonderful and delicious Italian restaurant, also conveniently located on Half Moon Bay’s Main Street.

Of course, whenever we go out, we enjoy wearing our favorite Beksan Designs’ pieces. When out to dinner at Ciya, Nevra chose to wear our ½ hoop crystal inlay earrings set in sterling silver which complemented her evil eye sapphire necklace. The next day began with a beautiful morning bike ride along the Half Moon Bay coast. We so enjoyed seeing the ocean, horseback riders, natural foliage, and stunning wildflowers. As you know, nature inspires our jewelry, think Tree of Life earrings, bracelet, and necklace.
