Planning Spring Travel? Fun Ideas

We don’t know about you, but we’re tired of chilly nights, the rain and feel Spring is right around the corner. Have you seen the beautiful flowers starting to blossom?

And Spring is a great time to travel.  Airfare and hotel prices trend lower, and the summer tourists haven’t arrived yet to popular destinations. Typically, warmer climate cities have cooler temperatures in Springtime too.

Out of curiosity, we checked to see what the most popular spring travel destinations are.  According to U.S News and World report Honolulu, Oahu #1, Sydney #6 London is rated #7, Montreal #8, Madrid #9, and Lisbon, Portugal round out the top ten.

This is exciting for Nevra as she will be spending a few days in London on her way to Florence in March to visit her daughter (and celebrate birthdays).  March through May is ideal to visit London as the temperatures are mild and the city’s parks are green and blooming. Did you know that the many of London’s top attractions are free?!  Some popular sites include: the National Gallery Art Museum, the British museum, the Natural History Museum, Hyde Park and many others.

The best way to get around London is with an Oyster Card for London’s subway system, otherwise known as “The Tube”.  Your fare is reduced with this card, and you’ll get to your destinations easily and quickly.

The variety of food options in London are amazing as well.  Dine smart Corridors like Brick Lane offer fabulous ethnic food for bargain prices and traditional English fare is another cultural must have you may not want to miss.

This past year Italy and Spain have been popular choices for late winter/spring travel among some of our friends as well.  One of our good friends’ daughters is studying Education Abroad in Madrid and loving it.  Can’t wait to learn more about what Nevra & Steve discover in Florence (we’ll share more in the future).

We currently dropped our new stylish designs/arrivals for Spring and Nevra is going to wear these pieces on her next trip.  Working with various naturally sourced gemstones and metals to turn these designs into sustainable, beautiful jewelry and accessories is so rewarding for us!

These are a couple of fabulous travel pieces (a scarf is always a must too):

Earrings - Crystal - Blue Small Crystal & Gold Vermeil Disc Dangle

Necklace - 24k Gold vermeil - Multi Hammer Disc (also available in sterling silver)

Scarf - Pashmina - Beige, Brown and Sky Blue

She’s excited to wear these stylish pieces in London and Florence!

We hope you find somewhere fun to travel to this spring and you’ll try one of our new designs!
