What’s Trending in London!
Nevra just got back from London visiting her adult children. Her daughter lives there, working as a software engineer for BBC so guess who will be visiting London on a regular basis. Whenever in London, we love to scan the latest fashion scene. Not only to see what we want to wear, but to discover how best to pair our Beksan jewelry designs with new fashion trends. It was fun trying on the variety of new looks and here are some observations:
Colors: This season’s colors are screaming Yellow, Orange, and Royal Blue; Of course, White is always prevalent for Spring/Summer, but these vibrant colors were everywhere. Whether an oversized blazer, jumpsuit, top, or pants, there’s a lot of yellow and orange in London. Our citrine, agate, and lapis gemstone jewelry pieces are on trend with these colors.
Bold Floral Patterns: They continue to reign this season, particularly on dresses and loose pants. Flowers are good if the design isn’t too bright, but from what we could tell, “the bigger the better” florals are what’s trending.
High-Waisted Cropped Trousers & Wide legged Jeans: Although there are still plenty of skinny jeans on the street, designers are showing tighter or crop tops with high waisted loose fitting pants or jeans. One needs to be tall and slim to pull off this look!
Embellished Sneakers & Colorful block heeled shoes: These add shoe style to the cropped pant look. There are a variety of sequins, fashion jewels, stripes and other décor on these fashionable sneakers. What’s nice is the block heel is a great height for everyday wear.
Off the Shoulder Tops: This began last year and is everywhere now in London. Some of these tops have cut-outs and look more bohemian, others are very colorful. Adding a statement necklace or choker from our jewelry collection along with dangle earrings will complete this look.
