Check Out 2014 Jewelry Trends: Colors & Metals
We have learned that jewelry trends are derived from the three Rs: red carpet, runway, and real life. Here’s a list of a few trends for 2014-- compiled just for YOU from jewelry market research:
Radiant Orchid. Call it fuchsia or purply-pink; they’re both appropriate names for Pantone color No. 18-3224, otherwise known as Radiant Orchid. It was chosen as the 2014 color of the year, so expect to see a surge of this hue in clothing, in jewelry and accessories. Experience this color in our Antika Collection with amethyst and pink quartz semi-precious stones set in our earrings, rings, bracelets, and necklaces!
Orange. It color-blocks beautifully with all the blue on the runways and jewelry in this color complements any neutral tone. Our oranges are found in shades of red agate, some tones of cornelian stones, and beautiful orange colored pashmina scarves.
Blue. Yes, it’s still going strong. It’s been all over the runways again during the Spring fashion shows and it is super popular in jewelry collections. We love working with blue semiprecious stones including: blue lapis, aquamarine, turquoise, blue sapphires and blue/grey quartz. We also have some beautiful new silk and felt scarves in a range of blue colors. Abalone is also very “in” so we’re looking at putting together designs that include abalone shells and colors.
Yellow gold. A traditional favorite especially in dainty pendants and chains, and in different types of gold metals including: solid gold, gold vermeil, gold plate, yellow-colored brass and bronze jewels. Fortunately, the price of gold has dropped significantly which is making it more affordable. Our artisan partners in Istanbul work in 24 kt gold vermeil, a metal that is more malleable and has a distinctive gold color that can be worn both day and night! Our Antika single or double stone earrings with a radiant orchid colored blouse or sweater can be a great way to update your look!
Mixed metals. Highly fashionable and our gemstone rings, set in 24k gold and oxidized silver with a distinctive semi-precious stone, are the perfect combination if you like to wear both gold and silver. Mixing our 24kt gold vermeil jewelry with silver pieces is another way to “mix and match."
