A New Year, 4 New Ideas
Now into February, we thought we’d review the new goals, plans, and wishes we have for 2015. Things we plan to start doing, stop doing, and, what's working that we want to continue. Through reflecting on last year and re-examination of ourselves and our business, we’ve identified some goals and ideas to make this year better! Tips we have learned and thought we could pass on to YOU!!! Let’s see what happens for all of us! Here are Our Ideas for 2015:
- Keep it simple. It seems as thought many of us make things more complex than needed. For example for us, we’ve noticed that at Beksan Designs we can sometimes overcomplicate the process of creating new designs, worrying about the small stuff and participating in activities or events that really aren’t best. So, this year, we’re going to focus on offering high quality jewelry pieces & accessories at venues that include our target clientele. Also we’ll continue to provide you with interesting information about what is currently trending!! Prioritization will also be part of “keeping it simple” so we have more time with friends and family. So how can you “keep it simple?” Think about a way you can simplify YOUR life either at work or at home.
- Do work and activities we enjoy. Are you doing what you enjoy? Are you making time to focus on enhancing what is working in your work or home life? At Beksan Designs, there are many products we "could" sell- and many things we could do. However, we are going to focus this year on developing the product lines that we really like and are on trend!!! We would love Beksan to grow. Learning more about technology to optimize our website and social media presence will also be part of the mix. We both love to learn! Exercise is fun and a priority to both of us and we’ll be trying new fitness classes as well. How about you…what is one new activity that you will try this year?
- Maximize our investments. We’ve decided to think wisely about how we invest our dollars and take the advice of our leadership coach to reduce costs. This includes being selective about what events we’re in, designing and shopping wisely, as well as reducing the number of other services we invest in. With our new "keep it simple" focus, we really don't need too much. Could feel freeing and also enable us to try new activities we haven’t experienced in the past!! How can YOU maximize your investments? Think about how you can feel less burdened
- Keep good work/life balance. Generally we have been pretty good about taking time to relax and enjoy life! We want to keep this up -- and, in fact, maybe set more boundaries in 2015 so we can experience a fulfilling work life and have more time to enjoy with friends and family!! Think about the boundaries you set and what you enjoy most, make those a priority!!
