Self-Care for Increased Prosperity & Calmness

Many customers have asked us, how we stay motivated, healthy, and happy?  After much thought, we realized that we (us sisters) make taking care of ourselves, a priority. It is something that we both value deeply.  We are also supporting our families and friends as best we can!

So how do we stay motivated you may ask?  We want to live long and healthy lives.  In our work, we are motivated to design unique jewelry so women can feel transformed in the blink of an eye.  We watch women put on our creations and a smile appears on their face which brightens up their eyes as they look in the mirror. As one client said, “Darn, I look good in these earrings.” 

Our hope is to inspire others so you too will discover why self-care is so important and how you can incorporate it into your daily life.   

What is Self-Care?

Self-care is knowing what your mind and body need. The question is, why is it so important?

If you’re looking to live a happier, more satisfying life, self-care is key. Taking care of yourself may seem like a selfish act, but it’s crucial to your wellbeing and to those close to you.

Why is Self-Care Important?

Self-care is how you ensure your mind and body are functioning as well as they can. Some of the main benefits of self-care include:

  • Improved physical and mental health
  • Increased energy
  • Improved self-esteem
  • Strength to fight off disease
  • More confidence and love to better assist others

5 Areas of Self-Care

Did you know there are different areas of self-care you can focus on?

  1. Emotional & Mental self-care

Emotional self-care focuses on activities that help you connect, reflect, and process your emotions.

Here are some emotional & mental health self-care tips you can use:

  • Read a book – which distracts the mind. You could also read self-help books to boost your areas of focus.

 

  • Take a day trip – just getting away for a few hours feels good. Take a day trip somewhere new and see just how much better you feel when you return home.

 

  • Solve puzzles – is another great distraction. This can boost mental focus too, helping to prevent conditions such as Dementia in later life.

 

  • Start a gratitude journal – It trains the brain to become more positive. Writing in a gratitude journal for 21 days can have a significant impact on your mental wellbeing.

  

  1. Physical self-care

Physical self-care relates to activities that help to improve your physical health. It involves healthier lifestyle choices (sleep, nourish your body etc..) and getting more fit. The healthier the body is, the lower your risk of developing an illness or disease. You pick which activities make you happy!

 

  1. Practical self-care

Practical self-care relates to tasks that fulfill the core aspects of your life. It is about avoiding potentially stressful situations in the future. For example, your finances, career, and home organization skills fit into this area.

 

  1. Social self-care

Social self-care focuses on nurturing your relationships. Healthy friendships are crucial to our well-being. Numerous studies show the importance of good social connections in terms of how we feel.

  1. Spiritual self-care

Finally, spiritual self-care helps you identify and connect to your inner self in a better way. It doesn’t have to be religious, although for some people it may be, for others it’s meditation or self-reflection.
